1:87 CNR Wedge - Extended Snow Plow
CNR Plow Kit less trucks, couplers and pb wire (for grabs and such).
Kit will arrive partially assembled. Wings and Wedge will have magnets installed that allow for the wings to have 3 positions. Yay magnets! Each plow has 18 magnets.
When ordering, please take note of which wedge you desire as well as which cupola (A, B or C) and body style. These prototypes were all over the place and there are variations abound! These kits will give the modeler a great starting point.
There are 4 different doors to choose from….of course there are probably dozens of different ones in the real world.
You will need a #5 or snap together coupler box for the rear. The front coupler is pinned in the front draft gear.
For the trucks I recommend the trucks from a Proto Gondola. They are narrower than most on the market. If you're running 12” radius curves, I would cheat out the stirrup steps (use rectangular brass to form them).
Parts sprue includes 2 rear platforms, mechanism for the wedge (optional) and headlight detail for the Slanted cab. The headlight is a bit chunky and I do suggest fabricating something out of brass….if you so desire.
Assembly videos will be posted an the Bedarail youtube page…..but the assembly is very simple. There are dimples on the model for grabs and such.
