1:160 CN SD40 Shell kit for Kato Drive
Here is a Shell designed to snap onto a Kato SD40 chassis. It includes the Hood, Pilots (made to accept 1015 or 1016 couplers) and CNR Split Fuel tank.
There are 4 options for the kits…either with One Class-light (rear hood has dual headlight and number-boards) on the front number-board or Two Class-lights (rear hood has a single headlight and no number-boards) and with our without Dynamic Brakes. Please refer to prototype photos before choosing.
Dimples are present for details…including stanchions. A Sd40 Handrail Soldering jig will be available separately. It will allow you to accurately reproduce handrails for these SD40 units. For stanchions you can either use PB wire or BLMA or equivalent stanchions.
